What is FUNCTIONAL Training?
   
 

Functional Training is the principle of training the body in an integrated fashion with movements that occur in every day activities. Health clubs and gym equipment allows us to isolate individual muscle groups for growth. This type of training has its advantages but does not prepare the body for activities of daily living or for athletic competition.

Functional training allows us to train in a manner that more reflect human movement. Performing functional exercise allows us to utilize and strengthen those neglected muscle groups that support the human structure such as the spine and the abdominal muscle groups.

This type of training also enhances balance and coordination which prepares the body for activities of daily living and a higher level of athletic performance.

Thus, anyone at any age will benefit from functional training which supports a greater quality of life and maintaining good health.
